Battery Bank Size?

It is important to have adequate capacity in the battery bank for the amount of power (Amp hours) you are likely to consume.

This may be calculated by adding up the power consumption (watts) of each appliance, the number of hours you will use it between recharges, and the voltage of the system.

This figure is your guide to the battery size required. It is very important to allow a safe margin as electrical systems are not always perfect and we recommend having power in reserve.

A minimum 50% safety margin is suggested.
