BATTERY PACKS

A quality 'deep cycle' battery bank forms the heart of a reliable and efficient storable energy system. It is essential to select the correct type of battery, Open Flooded leadacid, Sealed Flooded Lead Acid,AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) or Gel the individual size in Amp hours and the total storage capacity (Amp hours) for the bank.

These batteries have been designed and built in Australia and are tested and proven by CSIRO and are unequalled. They are the only sealed lead acid battery that can take high capacity charge at the same voltage as flooded wet cell batteries ie: 14.8 Volt.

This means that no other lead acid battery can be charged faster than these batteries so in mobile situations where time is of the essence they stand out as the only choice. Lead Acid Batteries

Capable of repeated heavy discharge/recharge, these batteries are best suited for mobile motor homes or in-shore/limited coastal area pleasure crafts.

Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) Batteries

• Are sealed battery packs making them ideal for charter crafts/off-shore vessels
• Can be recharged at 100% full rate of the alternator until it is 95% charged
• Does not require special regulators

Gel Tech Deep Cycle Batteries

• High discharge ratings make them ideal in systems with inverters and big loads that quickly shorten the life of most deep cycle batteries
• Contains a completely sealed no-spill, no-fill, no-slosh, gel electrolyte

Battery Maintenance and Charging

• Store battery banks in a cool, dry, well ventilated place
• Secure batteries and insulate against vibrations
• Allow battery bank to be 50% - 70% discharged before a full recharge
