Powerstream/Onsite Power will recommend a specific model Inverter or Combi Inverter Charger for each individual application. For permanent installation, and used in conjunction with DcGen to power a range of appliances, Quasi sine wave can be used for most appliances but for highly precise power pure sine wave would be specified.

All features of a sine wave inverter and charger in one compact enclosure at a fraction of the cost of a pure sine wave.
UPS functionality: seamless transfer from external AC to inverter supply with 30A through current P.F.C.including remote control ability and 10M remote control cable 4 step progressive charging and 8 battery type selector including calcium.

Suitable for most installations where you would use a microwave ,fridge,hair dryer,vacuum cleaner,kettle,computer.etc.

The vast majority of products will run on a Sterling Quasi-sinewave but some thyristor controlled bread makers and washing machines may need pure sine wave.

Models come in both12 Volt and 24Volt.

There is also added important features in both the PrQ and ProS range that even the expensive combis do not have such as the ability to charge totally flat batteries and allow through power with no batteries connected.

The vast majority of combi users want a simple unit that acts as a high performance constant current battery charger when on mains power then switch over to act as an efficient inverter when on battery power and thats it.

Complex combis with enhanced functions even if they are not used are eating up valuable power and some units can use as much as 9.5A where as the Sterling Pro Combi Range can use as little as 2A.

Quasi Sine Wave Inverters ranging from 150W to 1800W in both 12V and 24V and Sterling Inverters are continuous rated with all the usual overload,overvoltage and low voltage cut outs,and all the Inverters come with cable and 24kt gold connectors,to prevent battery terminal corrosion.

General opinion over the past few years was that the Quasi-Sinewave inverter was dead, and the pure sine-wave will rule the world but Quasi sine is alive and well and the reason for this is that most equipment such as mobile phones, tvs,drill chargers and a lot of equipment that used to have a problem with Quasi Sine now works fine as Quasi Sine now employs switch mode power supplies.
